Xipe Totec (shee-pey toh-tek), the Aztec flayed god of life, death, and rebirth, symbolizes the Earth’s renewal of the seasons as life sheds its dead “skin”, and spring vegetation sprouts from seed. This unique, old-world inspired flavor brings together dried chilis, sweet plums, and earthy spices in a mild but richly flavored sauce. Use it to enhance grilled meats and vegetables, roasted and baked potatoes, chili, BBQ dishes, and fried eggs. 1/10 heat.

I have had the hot sauce in recipes before, and loved it, so it is on that experience I rate it a 5. I bought all of the others for gifts. None of the recipients realized that they were for menus, and used them as salsas. Out of the six family members who tasted it as a salsa dip, one person enjoyed it. I think everyone would love it if used in cooked or cold recipes. I think it would be great if short, easy to prepare recipes were included with each sale. You've definitely got winners here, Homero!!
This sauce is ridiculously good. If you’re a wimp like me, it’s the right amount of heat that you can handle, trust me. I mainly use it on my fried eggs and hash browns. It’s also delicious as a dip with a little sour cream mixed in. I’ve purchased several times and I’ll continue to buy this sauce foreva!
Totecs tears is a great hot sauce. It has a good amount of heat, but not too hot, and great flavor to go with it!
I bought four jars after hearing you on Good Morning, Cookeville yesterday. They arrived this afternoon (very quick!), and I just completed a taste test with a couple of co-workers.
I loved the Buffalo Solider. The heat snuck up on me, but lasted a while without being overbearing. It was delicious!
My co-workers liked the Totec's Tears. They liked the sweet taste.
The other two were Brimstone Rimjob and Chi-Chee. Both were great and I was thrilled to have a hot sauce that tasted like kimchi! We'll be cooking with these for a while!
