This is one of those recipes that just knocks your socks off with flavor and simplicity. Good spicy guacamole and crispy steak, what else could you need?

Ingredients

    For the Guacamole

    • 2-3 Hass avocados
    • ¼ red onion
    • 2 limes
    • 2 cloves garlic
    • 1 jalapeno, seeded
    • cilantro, to taste
    • ¼ cup Cinco or Pata del Diablo
    • salt + pepper, to taste

    For the Steak

    • 1 ribeye steak (~1lb)
    • 2 tsp sazon, or kosher salt
    • 1 tbsp avocado oil (or other high temp oil)

    Directions

      For the Guacamole

      1. Cut avocados in half and remove the pit.
      2. Scoop out the flesh into a bowl and cover with the juice of one lime.
      3. Mash just a bit before mixing in the onion, garlic (grated or finely chopped), jalapeno, cilantro, salt, pepper, and hot sauce.
      4. Adjust seasoning and acidity to taste with the remaining lime.

      For the Steak

      1. Cut steak into 1 inch cubes, season with sazón/salt and toss with oil.
      2. Preheat air fryer to highest possible temperature.
      3. Air fry for 12-14 minutes stirring once half way. Steak is ready when it is crispy and dark golden brown.
      4. Pile on top of guacamole, drizzle with extra sauce, and serve with tortilla chips. Enjoy!
